9 Months Old

As far as physical milestones, I can only say that she has grown taller and heavier the past month. Since we did not go to the doctor's this month, I can't say for sure exactly how much...

Formula feeding is going well. She no longer cries when the bottle is offered and seems to have forgotten her nursing days (can't say the same for myself). I still have my moments.

Recently we noticed that she can now turn the pages of a book! I guess all the 'reading' has paid off. Now when we sit her in front of a book she will reach out and turn the pages (in the correct direction too)! She's also 'cruising' (walking while holding on to furniture) quite adeptly but has yet to take her own steps. I also notice that her fingers are better at grabbing things. She's yet to actually pick up stuff using her thumbs but its slowly improving. Have started to give her little snacks (finger foods) to improve her grasp. Lately she's started babbling alot. Her first words were 'mama' followed by 'dada' then 'tata' and lately 'nana'. Strangely enough it seems to go through a phase. She'll say each word for a few days and then move on to the next. So for a while I got to pretend that she was calling me 'mama' but now she never says it.
