Misha: 16 months

Eating
In my attempt to reduce the 'orange' foods in her diet I have started to give her less vegetable (since they all seem to contain beta-carotene) and more rice..so now I've started to cook 3 milk spoons of rice (used to be 2).

Walking
She mastered standing up on her own (19/11/2014) so doesn't need to crawl much anymore. She can also walk over wires quite well (the laptop wire is left on the floor). Initially she would trip over it but after a few tries she seems to have figured out how to step over it.

Teeth
Started brsuhing her teeth eith s proper toothbrush in the bathroom. Previously was using one of those finger brushes but hse started biting on it and it hurt my finger!
She is quite willing to let me brushe her teeth (for now anyway)

Talking
Banana - 'nana'
Dog - 'doh'. But she calls every animal a dog
Chips - We were having dinner and Jing's meal came with chips. She saw it and immediately said 'chee' and pointed.
I notice she is quite spontaneous when it comes to talking. She will suddenly say a word on her own. Not really copying something we try to say to her. She seems to store it in her head and suddenly spring it on us.
So sometimes there are things she says which we have trouble identifying.

Holiday
Misha's first time on a plane. Since she was under 2 we didn't get her a seat and instead reserved a bassinet for her. But she didn't really like sitting in it so had to hold her most of the time.

We spent 2 weeks in Australia during this time. She was quite easy to travel with. I was worried she would have trouble adjusting to sleeping in a cot in different rooms but she didn't have any problem. Every night I would put her down after singing her usual lullaby and she would go to sleep till the next morning. Some nights she cried (but nothing long or unusual). Meera used to wake up a lot during the night so I was expecting the same with Misha...it was a pleasant surprise that we got to have a good night's sleep every single night. We even put both the kids together in the same room to sleep cos Meera would wake up in the morning and come to our room looking for us.

She didn't really sleep much in the car so naps were mostly missed. And we usually got back to the room late so she was surviving on less than her normal sleep but she was mostly fine (unlike Meera that went a bit cranky if she didn't get enough sleep). I think having Meera around also helped keep Misha in a good mood.

Breakfast was usually 1.5 Weet-bix with UHT milk. Lunch and dinner was those baby food pouches. I also let her eat whatever food we were eating (but not much). She did have more chips than I would have liked but other than that she ate quite well.
She keeps insisting on eating everything we eat...especially if she sees Meera eating it. Also wants to drink whatever we have. Food wise I usually oblige but never let her have our drinks (since it'susually coffee!)

Nursing was cut down to only twice a day but I noticed she would nurse a lot longer (total time was still a bit less though). I tried feeding her in the car (and even nursing rooms) but she was always so distracted.

Walking
She is a lot more better at walking but notice she does not like walking outside. Tried putting her down on the road, grass sand and she would cry non stop, hold on to our legs and not move an inch! But inside the house she was fine on tiles, carpet, hardwood....

Signing
She is quite good at using signs now. She will even sign water when she sees the ocean, or rain. When she signs milk she will say 'mah mah'.
Signing 'more'
